Project SING is the result of a Teacher Quality Partnership award and collaboration between Quinnipiac University and University of New Haven.
Project SING brings teams of beginning teachers, mentors, administrators from 8 Connecticut districts together for a professional development designed to:
- Support the Beginning Teacher – Mentor Teacher – Administrator relationship as it relates to 3-Dimensional teaching and learning based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- Support Beginning Teachers in the Connecticut induction process.
- Engage teachers and administrators in a collaborative and reflective experience where they are challenged to expand their science understanding and to implement research-based teaching practices.
- Designed with in-person and online components, the professional development will immerse teams in the Next Generation Science Exemplar (NGSX) system, a cyber-enabled learning environment.
